About

Passionate about traveling since I can remember. I began my photographic journey in 2004. I started photographing natural landscapes, not only in my home country, Portugal, but also in other places like Iceland, the United States of America, or Canada.

On my first trip to Japan, I fell in love not just for the country, but also for the cultural differences between East and West, and I started introducing cities, their people, and their traditions as my photographic subjects.

Today my photographic activity is focused on traditional festivals, and traditional craftsmanship. My purpose is to document some of these traditions wherever I go, as well as the effort of the people who struggle to keep these traditions alive.
