Omokage zine

Omokage (面影). The lingering trace of something that once was. The shadow of a face or place held in memory.

I have been photographing Japan since 2012, covering subjects like traditions, festivals, artisans, religion, food, and everyday life. Some of the places I photographed no longer exist. Others won’t be around much longer. Rather than keeping these images in my archive I decided to share them with you in a photo zine. These are the traces of my journeys through Japan.

Comes out twice a year. Each issue is A5 size, covers a single subject, and is limited to 50 copies.
